Your best interests are the priority of everyone who works with us
Firmager Funeral Service always maintain the personal touch and give the service that is expected from everyone. We try to preserve that standard that was set by our predecessors. To that end, our staff are all local residents who know the local traditions and are familiar with the New Romney Churches and Clergy. It helps us to help you when you are arranging a funeral service for someone special and who is dear to you.
Meet the team:
I took over the running of Firmager Funeral Service in 2009 on the passing away of my husband Michael Owen and his business partner Bert Firmager Funeral Service. My background until then had been in the social care sector having managed care homes; become a trainer in social care and then an Inspector for the Care Quality Commission, inspecting care homes and hospitals. These experiences have shown me how people should be treated. Everyone should expect and get a service that is individual and personal to them. We also like to have close links with local care homes by providing free training and try to provide some support outside of our usual role.
Phil was a member of New Romney Town Council until this year and is currently a volunteer with the local emergency services, HM Coastguard. He is on call as part of the local rescue team.
He is also a keen angler and has in the past been chairman of local angling clubs.
