On 25 July 2026, Firmager Funeral Service, supported by colleagues from Sterry Funeral Service, proudly took part in the New Romney Country Fayre on Romney Marsh – the area’s largest free annual community event.
This year’s theme was Musicals, with the team creating their own version of ‘Greased Lightning’ from Grease for the grand parade. Staff, family members, former colleagues and three generations of one family came together to join the celebrations, showcasing the strong community spirit that makes the event so special.
Alongside the parade, the team hosted a stall offering information on their services such as pre-paid funeral plans, funeral transport options and memorial products. Visitors were also treated to complimentary water, non-alcoholic summer punch and snacks throughout the day.
The fayre plays an important role in bringing together local businesses, charities, voluntary groups, emergency services and residents from across Romney Marsh. For the team, one of the most rewarding aspects was connecting with past clients, hearing their stories and receiving heartfelt thanks for the support they had received during difficult times.
By supporting the New Romney Country Fayre, Firmager Funeral Service helped celebrate local talent, strengthen community connections and demonstrate its commitment to the people it serves every day.
